Sometimes we don’t even realize when we make others feel bullied. Try to imagine how others feel about the way you treat them. If you don’t like what you find, maybe there’s room for improvement.

Be a supportive friend. Look at your own behavior, and ask yourself honestly, “Do I increase or decrease the self-confidence of my friends?” You could be bullying your friends without even being aware of it.
If someone calls you a bully, try not to get defensive, even though you may feel attacked. You may not even realize what you’re doing until you look at your own behavior honestly. Ask, “What could I do differently?” and take a moment to let their feedback sink in.
Something you think is a joke might not be a joke to somebody else. Consider whether your sense of humor has been hurtful to others.
