Be a supportive friend. Look at your own behavior, and ask yourself honestly, “Do I increase or decrease the self-confidence of my friends?” You could be bullying your friends without even being aware of it.
If someone calls you a bully, try not to get defensive, even though you may feel attacked. You may not even realize what you’re doing until you look at your own behavior honestly. Ask, “What could I do differently?” and take a moment to let their feedback sink in.
Something you think is a joke might not be a joke to somebody else. Consider whether your sense of humor has been hurtful to others.
