DAY 21 OF 31
Join In! w/ PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center
Today, we’re teaming up with our partners at PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center -- the folks who made October National Bullying Prevention Month in the first place! In honor of PACER’s #UnityDay2015, we challenge you to ask someone who you think gets left out to join in on an activity. Then share our graphic and tag a friend to include someone new in #MonthOfAction! It only takes one invitation to make a person feel welcomed ;-)
Small action, big reward. A simple act of inclusion can have an immediate effect on someone’s self-esteem. A game during recess, a study group, a walk around the block, or a brainstorming session at work -- all of these things can be really memorable to someone who’s been feeling isolated. If you can’t do it in person, bring them in on a conversation online or send them an invite to join a group or event. Hear what Jamie Lee Curtis has to say about this easy form of ‘Virtual Inclusion.’
